Micro climate at the Bolaven Plateau
With day temperatures between 20 and 28 degrees its much cooler then the rest of Laos, in the dry season the night temperatures drop down to 8 degrees, in the rainy season most of the time the night temperature reaches 18 degrees, a good climate to sleep with an extra blanket instead of air conditioning.

The dry season starts in October and ends in April. Temperatures are between 20 and 26 degrees in the day time and in the night time around 18 degrees, end Decemter it can be "a little bit cooler" at night: 8 degrees, but thats only a couple of nights.
What to bring with you when you "do" the Bolaven Plateau: your normal stuff and... swimming clothes, sun protection, warm soks and a fleeze.
In the evening it becomes cooler than the normal Lao climate. For most travelers its a pleasent surprise because it means that they can have a good sleep without aircon or a fan, what the feeling gives that they are back to normal for a couple of days.

Rainy seizon.
The rainy season starts during the 'summer' in april and ends in October. Temperatures are between 26 and 32 degrees and during rainfall the temperature can drop below 22 degrees but only for a couple of minutes.
During the rainy season it can rain every day for a 30 minutes and in the evening it becomes cooler than the normal Lao climate. For most travelers its a pleasent surprise because it means that they can have a good sleep without aircon or a fan, what the feeling gives that they are back to normal for a couple of days.
