Waterfalls at the Bolaven Plateau.
The Bolaven Plateau is located on the bottn the crater from an ancient volcano in Soutern Laos. The mountains around the Bolaven Plateau is also a part from that same old volcano. The micro climate at the Bolaven Plateau is that from a rain forest, extremely good to have the whole year exceptional nice waterfalls.
Tat Cham Pee Natural Waterfall
Between Pakse and Paksong at KM 38.
Opposite of the Tat Fane Waterfall
When you need a refreshment or like a pick-nick in a perfect ambiance and you are in the neighborhood, go to this waterfall.
Its 1800 meters from the main road but you can spend some time here, you can access the waterfall by foot, there is a smooth road and a dangerous road. At the waterfall you can swim or have some lazy time on one of the floating tubes.
At the begin from the road and near the waterfall itself are some small shops and restaurants.
Tat Fane Waterfall
Road Pakse - Pakson KM 38
The Tat Fane waterfall is a big one, over 100 meter!. You can see this waterfall from a distance when you are at the view point at Tat Fane Resort or the restaurant at this resort.
When you like to have a closer look you have to walk '30 minutes' , its a nice trek to spend your afternoon with or for a 5 minutes to make some pictures.
Tad Yuang Waterfall
Between Pakse and Paksong at KM 39
Very nice waterfall, good maintained roads, a very nice picknick area at the waterfall. Parking place with some restaurants.
You will see the waterfall from the top site, with a small road to a viewpoint you can see the whole waterfall.
Couple waterfalls
On the Ho Chi Min Trail between Paksong - Attapeu
The Couple waterfalls are some faterwalls without any tourists, its a good and funny one, when you have some guts you can swim in the 'cold' water.
The Katamtok is not easy to find, but is located in one of the most beautifull parts from the Bolaven Plateau. When you are on the motorbike and you do the big loop you will pass it.
